New perception of my Passion on Crafting

Hello Again. Recently I have been trying very hard , cracking my head on thinking what is the next step or what I should do to move myself closer to my dream ( to do what i love and earn a living out of it) Ive always believe that Life is too Short to do anything else specially on things which u hate. But yes. I know its not easy . That is why is keep on cracking my head thinking what would Lead me towards what i want

Then , i realize. Because i put too much thought about it rather just go with the flow. I worsen the Situation. I stop. Stop doing what i love, afraid of making a wrong move. At the End. I didnt move at all . Is worst then making a wrong move.

So i am thinking maybe i should just take this time since im going to be where i am for little while more, to find myself. how much i love crafting and just enjoy making craft simply because i feel like it. Ive always Love making cards. Never like store bought ones. Usually whenever i present a dear friend or family a card, it is certain that is 100% made with love by me.

i feel good seeing smiles and happiness when they see the card and also unwrapping gifts which are wrap nicely with love ( oh did i mention i lovvvvveeee wraping gifts too) ? haha so i guess ill be posting some of my hand made cards here now n then

The Recycle Armor

Hello hello !

Finally sent my Artwork which i have been mentioning like forever but have not shown u guys any Picture of it ( how secretive of me right ) haha. Its time ! ive been planning this project bout a month or so and was pondering whether to proceed for quite a bit.

Well at the end , i push myself to make it happen . And after all the sweat. Late nights and burns on my fingers. It is done ! =) though it might not be perfect but im very happy with myself i stick to it and finish it in time.

Simple Crafts. Happy Me

Finallyyy... my Art piece for the recycle competition is done. And the photoshoot for the artwork CHECK, now all I have to do is just Send it ! so happy i finish it. I was working very hard on it and did not have time for other craft projects but then i was kinda exhausted from it and decided to take a break from it.

What can be more relaxing then enjoying a cup of tea and make a small craft work. Simple gift tags from the Dear lizzy Stamp Collection. Bought it online just  few weeks ago. Love the little jar stamps. i could imagine alot i could do with it. Though is simple but i find it rather meaningful and does not take alot of effort. just needed some love in making them =)

My New Toy,Pride and Joy !!

sweet Bigshot of mine~

After coming back from my Singapore holiday trip, i was overwhelmed by all sorts of events and chores thatt i totally forget to update my blog ! how careless of me but no fear. that wont happen again! ....

FINALLY ! my bigshot is in my arms now ~! i am finally a bigshot member now, so happy to be able to shop for crafts supplies i was about to grab practically the whole store~! was totally out of control after seeing so many beautiful things!however so fas i have not make any crafts with it yet cause at the moment i am focusing on a project. A competition organised by a local college and state. Recycle competition were the participant is to create a functional object with recycle goods.

and the dateline is near. that is y I am so caught up with the project i forgoten to update the blog ! my project im planning to create something with Plastic Spoons ! try guessing? second tip? is wearable haha... yes ! im very curious myself too wether my idea would work ~! but will do my best ! so stay tune. will be posting my final product soon.

ill be patient and finish up the project then move on to explore and create with my Bigshot ~! xoxo... till then , happy crafting people ~!

Owl Fever

My first Attempt Little Owl

I have always love all those owls craft which i see from websites ! and always wanted to make them.However i never had the push to do so.as i am not really very good in sewing but then after visiting Penang Hill the other day and saw the Owl Museum. I was Fascinated and excited again!

So, i go ahead a give it a try. Found a simple Owl pattern online and altered it abit to my own liking. and wallah!  tadaa... 2 little cute owls. It was quite easy and fast to make. Which is suitable for people like me that doesn't really have much time sitting for hours doing a project. is a full time mum's thingy. So this project is definitely suitable for full time mums and house wife like me ! that still wants to find time to do something cute. it takes about 2 hours max to do ( and of course i did not sat there 2 hours straight. i was an on n off thing ) but i get it done within an evening.

And then there were 2 . ^^

Hope u Think is cute too ! i love them and im going to look for more patterns online to try and make a collection of Owls Cute little owls. Sweet Candy Of Mine

Finally , I find time to blog! It was a busy month for me. Getting ready for my holidays to sg , My Daughters' 1st Birthday (she just turned 1 last thursday =) ) and all the errands that i need to run. However like i ve promised ! will find time to upload some of my craft work and blog. i totally agree with Ms Sheila after reading her blog ,http://www.sheilamonteiro.com/ that its just hard when u stop blogging after a while and u lose the momentum to write again. blogging definitely needs disciplined alright.

 Anyway, Back to Craft time. I've always love Christmas and candy canes always reminds me the wonderful festive season. I've made this last Christmas and looking to make more of it this year.Though its not Christmas yet, no harm indulging yourself with sweet things right ? specially that this one does not makes u feel guilty but instead it gives u comfort and when u need a hug. it was inspired by the candy cane itself of course.

I used 2 types of fabric. plain red cotton fabric with the red and white stripe cotton fabric. and i tilt the stripe fabric to create the candy cane pattern.i did come up with a tutorial on this one. Hope u will enjoy making this sweet plush as mush a i do. is really simple.So enjoy and Happy Crafting !

Tutorial:

Step1

Step 1 : i drew a candy cane shape on a piece of butterpaper and cut out the shape. then i use it to trace it on the fabric .if u notice i tilt the fabric slanting to create the candy cane pattern

Step2: Cut Out the Traced Candy Cane.

Step3: Repeat the process except make sure that is the reverse side ( so that the front part of the fabric is facing the correct direction) and cut it out.

step 4 

Step 4: Place the 2 fabric together ( the front side of the fabric facing inwards) and pin them together , ready them for sewing.

Step 5

Step 5 : Sewing them up ( i use the sewing machine which get things done alot faster) Make sure u leave the end of the Candy cane Open as u need to flip it inside out.

Step 6

Step 6: After sewing. Flip the fabric inside out ( that is why u need to place the fabric at the correct direction at step 4)

Step 7

Step 7: Now , Fill the Cane with Cotton! as much as u can untill is packed with cotton .

step 8 

Step 8 : Sew the end of the cane by making a spacing stitch so that u can Pull to make the fabric  gather up.

Step 9

Step 9: Pull the thread And the gather up the fabric.

Step 10

Step10: Push in the left over fabric into the cane end.

Step 11.

Step 11: Pull the thread hard making sure its tightly gathered together.

Step12:

Step12: Finish it up by sewing a fabric button of your choice .

Step13(optional)

Step 13: this is optional but you can add on a handmade tag.

all Done!

Busy Busy Buzz....

Gosh .. it has been a busy week for me .! getting ready my Little Baby Girl 's Birthday Party. She is turning 1 This Coming June. Time Flies ! i know, and im so sad that i was not able to make time for any crafts This week. Hope u would bare with me . Definitely Will make some Thing this coming week ! Anyway , cant wait to  For the month of June to Arrive.So many Happy Things Happening.

My Darling Daughters' B day, Going to visit my grandma at Singapore! and the most Happy Part FINALLY i can see my beautiful Big Shot Machine ! Omg Cant wait to grab hold of it. im so so excited i keep on searching online information on what kinda dies i should get ! ive been wanting the Big shot machine for soo so long. Now finally is going to be here soon and i  can make way for more creative works !

The Month of May is Dedicated to All mothers and Love ones celebrating this Meaningful event. And i'm so happy i can be apart of it.

I ve created this Cute Little family of ladybirds. im never fond of creepy crawly creatures But ladybirds are exceptional! just the name itself have kinda make me smile.The Name "LadyBird" does makes me more less scared of them( a perception that this creature is more gentle and friendly) haha.

I just use some left over felts from previous projects and some Black threads . very simply to do. Is can be a very nice brooch too. Simply add a pin behind it. These are wonderful Favors and gift i made this as christmas gifts last year.

Mothers' Day has arrived and This is my First Mothers day~! welcome to the motherhood Club i said so to myself (wink*) After being a mother myself i finally realize the true meaning of a Mothers' Unconditional Love. And i now truly believe that No Love can be compared to a mothers love. It is so Pure and Divine ....

That is why is even more appreciate My Mum, the love of my life . Ive thought of getting her a gift but then i still believe in sentimental value and decided to make something for her rather than Store Bought goods.

Scrapbooking #2

Yay, manage to come up with 2 more pieces in my album and im running out of tools and embelisment. Although i tend to recycle my materials from goods but is nice to have some store bought stickers and all but unfortunately in Penang, there is very limited supply (VERY ... limited )
I crave to be able to spend my weekends browsing through Huge craft storeess and be able to touch all those beautiful embelishment and materials..... ! that is why i envy u guys over there that are able to do that.

Which leads me to have a dream being able to open one craft store myself ! I twould be a dream come true. i think its probably one of those things i want to do before i die ? lol ... i hope i would live the day to see that happens .. =)

Scrapbooking all sweet memories

Ive always admire those who can do so much with papers . Scrapbooking is also one of the things i would love to be apart of. unfortunately, at where i live it is very hard to get the tools i need. My Dream Finally came true when i saw the First proper Scrapbooking Store opened in my hometown , Smidapapers ! fell in love with the shop , it was love at first site.

Is just so sad to see it moved. from its original location and now i could only rely on online craft blogs to get my goods. but thats not going to stop me from creating beautiful things. i believe  could just make anything out of ... Anything? lol i recycle some of the papers from used wrapping papers and cards....

here are some of the scrapbooking ive done. It took me a while to do it as u know im a fulltime housewife and a mother. so I don really have the privilege to seat down quietly to do them.So, that is why they are precious to me, this are some of the ones i spend my precious free time doing. hope you will like it as much i do.

Time files , there goes a weekend. a fair week i should say. nothing extra ordinary. Just to share with you something ive done a few months ago. My bestie's Birthday, Jasmine. As i have mention. Love to find reasons to wrap practically anything up. 

Is my Dearest Friend birthday give definitely Would spend more time with it. However it dint take long. i love simple yet meaningful ways to wrap ,im never the type that would spend whole afternoon cracking my head. im more towards going with the flow. let my imagination run wild. 

But as for this, i called it "Sealed With love " using all raw materials. Brown paper recycle from previous letter envelops and A wax sealed stamp (which is my new toy, Bought from Groupon ) love it. It definitely din cost much for the wrapping but yet 100% sentimental and Sincere.

Cute Clay Charms

Its was back then where i needed to rest at home waiting for my little one to arrive i did this cute little charms inspired by my fav soft toy "little chick bee" using a type of soft clay called I clay. it was very easy to use and air dries. its very addictive too. i would spend whole day making different charms and little cupcakes. those wonderful times are just unforgettable. ..

Wrap with love

*All Wrap Up*

Ive always have a thing for wrapping gifts! I would always find a reason to wrap something! so was happy that one of my dear friend's Birthday is Near. went shoping for her gift and found a lovely cupcake recipe book that comes with a Very nice metal box. i thought is such a waste to wrap it up but at the same time feels is lack of some personal touch to it if its not wrap up. So i decided to Wrap it with pretty Bows ! still able to see the pretty box and yet with a touch of love.

is really simple and does not take up much time. here is the tutorial is u like to try it out yourself. 

things u need

here are the list of things u need.

1. organza ribbons (2 types of colours) 

ive chosen red and gold that matches the gift box

2. scissors 

3.thread

4.gold paint

5. paint brush

6.pine corns (ive picked them during my stay at Bukit Tinggi , finally put it into good use Lol)

7. ruler

thats pratically all u need. simple right ? =)

1.First Measure The ribbons length by simply trying it on the box enough to wrap all around the box. make sure 2 of them are equal length.

(i learnt it from her too) and have a clear picture of how to do step 2 till step 6. below are the pictures on how I do it. Hope it helps

step 3.after tying the not.be sure to leave some ends for the next step.

step4. starting to work on the bows.

I added a touch of my own twist to it and painted the pine corns with  gold paint and left it dry (it takes about 15 minutes or so )

Twist a thread around the pine corn and and tie a knot. then Tie them on the bow where u can hide the thread. (as shown in the picture)
