New perception of my Passion on Crafting

Hello Again. Recently I have been trying very hard , cracking my head on thinking what is the next step or what I should do to move myself closer to my dream ( to do what i love and earn a living out of it) Ive always believe that Life is too Short to do anything else specially on things which u hate. But yes. I know its not easy . That is why is keep on cracking my head thinking what would Lead me towards what i want

Then , i realize. Because i put too much thought about it rather just go with the flow. I worsen the Situation. I stop. Stop doing what i love, afraid of making a wrong move. At the End. I didnt move at all . Is worst then making a wrong move.

So i am thinking maybe i should just take this time since im going to be where i am for little while more, to find myself. how much i love crafting and just enjoy making craft simply because i feel like it. Ive always Love making cards. Never like store bought ones. Usually whenever i present a dear friend or family a card, it is certain that is 100% made with love by me.

i feel good seeing smiles and happiness when they see the card and also unwrapping gifts which are wrap nicely with love ( oh did i mention i lovvvvveeee wraping gifts too) ? haha so i guess ill be posting some of my hand made cards here now n then

Finallyyy... my Art piece for the recycle competition is done. And the photoshoot for the artwork CHECK, now all I have to do is just Send it ! so happy i finish it. I was working very hard on it and did not have time for other craft projects but then i was kinda exhausted from it and decided to take a break from it.

What can be more relaxing then enjoying a cup of tea and make a small craft work. Simple gift tags from the Dear lizzy Stamp Collection. Bought it online just  few weeks ago. Love the little jar stamps. i could imagine alot i could do with it. Though is simple but i find it rather meaningful and does not take alot of effort. just needed some love in making them =)

My New Toy,Pride and Joy !!

sweet Bigshot of mine~

After coming back from my Singapore holiday trip, i was overwhelmed by all sorts of events and chores thatt i totally forget to update my blog ! how careless of me but no fear. that wont happen again! ....

FINALLY ! my bigshot is in my arms now ~! i am finally a bigshot member now, so happy to be able to shop for crafts supplies i was about to grab practically the whole store~! was totally out of control after seeing so many beautiful things!however so fas i have not make any crafts with it yet cause at the moment i am focusing on a project. A competition organised by a local college and state. Recycle competition were the participant is to create a functional object with recycle goods.

and the dateline is near. that is y I am so caught up with the project i forgoten to update the blog ! my project im planning to create something with Plastic Spoons ! try guessing? second tip? is wearable haha... yes ! im very curious myself too wether my idea would work ~! but will do my best ! so stay tune. will be posting my final product soon.

ill be patient and finish up the project then move on to explore and create with my Bigshot ~! xoxo... till then , happy crafting people ~!

Sweet Candy Of Mine

Finally , I find time to blog! It was a busy month for me. Getting ready for my holidays to sg , My Daughters' 1st Birthday (she just turned 1 last thursday =) ) and all the errands that i need to run. However like i ve promised ! will find time to upload some of my craft work and blog. i totally agree with Ms Sheila after reading her blog ,http://www.sheilamonteiro.com/ that its just hard when u stop blogging after a while and u lose the momentum to write again. blogging definitely needs disciplined alright.

 Anyway, Back to Craft time. I've always love Christmas and candy canes always reminds me the wonderful festive season. I've made this last Christmas and looking to make more of it this year.Though its not Christmas yet, no harm indulging yourself with sweet things right ? specially that this one does not makes u feel guilty but instead it gives u comfort and when u need a hug. it was inspired by the candy cane itself of course.

I used 2 types of fabric. plain red cotton fabric with the red and white stripe cotton fabric. and i tilt the stripe fabric to create the candy cane pattern.i did come up with a tutorial on this one. Hope u will enjoy making this sweet plush as mush a i do. is really simple.So enjoy and Happy Crafting !

Tutorial:

Step1

Step 1 : i drew a candy cane shape on a piece of butterpaper and cut out the shape. then i use it to trace it on the fabric .if u notice i tilt the fabric slanting to create the candy cane pattern

Step2: Cut Out the Traced Candy Cane.

Step3: Repeat the process except make sure that is the reverse side ( so that the front part of the fabric is facing the correct direction) and cut it out.

step 4 

Step 4: Place the 2 fabric together ( the front side of the fabric facing inwards) and pin them together , ready them for sewing.

Step 5

Step 5 : Sewing them up ( i use the sewing machine which get things done alot faster) Make sure u leave the end of the Candy cane Open as u need to flip it inside out.

Step 6

Step 6: After sewing. Flip the fabric inside out ( that is why u need to place the fabric at the correct direction at step 4)

Step 7

Step 7: Now , Fill the Cane with Cotton! as much as u can untill is packed with cotton .

step 8 

Step 8 : Sew the end of the cane by making a spacing stitch so that u can Pull to make the fabric  gather up.

Step 9

Step 9: Pull the thread And the gather up the fabric.

Step 10

Step10: Push in the left over fabric into the cane end.

Step 11.

Step 11: Pull the thread hard making sure its tightly gathered together.

Step12:

Step12: Finish it up by sewing a fabric button of your choice .

Step13(optional)

Step 13: this is optional but you can add on a handmade tag.

all Done!

Mothers' Day Shortbread Cookies

Mothers' Day has arrived and This is my First Mothers day~! welcome to the motherhood Club i said so to myself (wink*) After being a mother myself i finally realize the true meaning of a Mothers' Unconditional Love. And i now truly believe that No Love can be compared to a mothers love. It is so Pure and Divine ....

That is why is even more appreciate My Mum, the love of my life . Ive thought of getting her a gift but then i still believe in sentimental value and decided to make something for her rather than Store Bought goods.

Scrapbooking #2

Yay, manage to come up with 2 more pieces in my album and im running out of tools and embelisment. Although i tend to recycle my materials from goods but is nice to have some store bought stickers and all but unfortunately in Penang, there is very limited supply (VERY ... limited )
I crave to be able to spend my weekends browsing through Huge craft storeess and be able to touch all those beautiful embelishment and materials..... ! that is why i envy u guys over there that are able to do that.

Which leads me to have a dream being able to open one craft store myself ! I twould be a dream come true. i think its probably one of those things i want to do before i die ? lol ... i hope i would live the day to see that happens .. =)
